Welcome to the online home of Egerton PreSchool

Egerton PreSchool offers high quality child care and education for children age 2 to 5 years. At Egerton we provide a safe and stimulating environment. We aim to work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop in a setting which promotes equality and values diversity. As a member of Egerton Preschool your child is given generous care and attention, because of our high ratio of adults to children (1:5). They will have a chance to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn together. They will be helped to take forward their learning and develop by being helped to build on what they already know and can do. Your child will also be given the chance to establish the basis of reading and writing through well chosen stories, songs, rhymes and games. Egerton Preschool's main aim is to provide a fun, safe and happy environment which will positively influence your child’s learning and development. Our Playgroup has fully qualified, dedicated, enthusiastic staff who have a number of years experience. We work very closely to Egerton C E Primary School and do everything we can to make your child transition as easy as possible. Please take a look at the School website for more details on Egerton Primary School. https://www.egerton.kent.sch.uk

Little Owls is a PreSchool session held on Friday afternoons at 1pm – 3pm, in Egerton C of E Primary School. Little Owls is open to all children who will be attending Egerton Primary school in September. This allows the child to prepare for school life and be in familiar surroundings from day one, making settling in to school life that bit easier for both the children and the parents. This session normally runs in the Summer Term from Easter until the Summer holidays.

Egerton Preschool are very privileged to have Mrs Crossley-Roberts, a music teacher from Egerton Primary School, visit us once a week on a Tuesday. It allows our children to focus on learning musical instruments, singing songs, working as a group and get practicing for our many musical performances throughout the year! Mrs Crossley-Roberts will also be the children's music teacher for years to come should you wish your child to attend Egerton Primary School. We aim to develop the children's learning in all aspects!

*** Preschool has reopened in September, successfully welcoming the children back to Egerton Village Hall. The staff have worked hard to ensure the preschool is Covid safe. Staff will wear mask to greet you at the side door and settle your little one happily into the preschool. Hands are regularly washed and sanitized, along with all the equipment. We ask if any parents wishes to enter the preschool they speak to a member of staff first and wear a mask. We still have spaces for children aged 2+, so please call or email Emily to have a chat****

As a small Preschool we need all the help we can receive from teachers, parents and the local community to help fund the school and make it the best it can be. Keep your eyes peeled for the next few months as we have lots of fun and exciting fundraising events taking place and we would love for everyone to get involved!
